What should I do if I have an emergency and your clinic isn't open?
In the event of an after-hours EMERGENCY, call California Veterinary Specialists at (760) 431-2273. They have two locations (Carlsbad and Temecula) and are open 24 hours a day with staff trained in emergency veterinary medicine and surgery.
What forms of payment do you accept? Do you bill?
Payment in full is expected when services are rendered. We accept cash, local checks (with pre-printed name and proper ID), Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and debit cards.
We don't offer a billing plan, but financing is available with pre-approval from CareCredit. To apply for CareCredit Health Care Financing, click here (www.carecredit.com).
Do you board pets?
Yes. Our Bark Avenue Resort and Kamp features a full range of amenities for the most particular pet and the most discriminating owner. We feature a full-service salon, private lodging, a spacious play area, and much more!

Do you groom pets?
We are proud to announce that we have recently brought professional groomer Brianna Gustafson onto our team.
Brianna has worked with animals and in the grooming profession most of her life. Her first job, at age 15, was at a grooming shop in Encinitas. She got her feet wet there (pun intended) as a bather/brusher for two years. Learn more about her by going to our Bark Avenue grooming page.
Medicated baths for a skin infection or some other medical problem are handled by our trained nursing staff.
We also offer beak, wing, and nail trims on all species of birds.
